Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk or cream, warmed
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cubed sweet potatoes and cook for 15–20 minutes or until tender.
  • Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the butter, honey, and warmed milk. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  • Season with salt and cinnamon (if using), and stir to combine.
  • Serve warm, optionally garnished with a pat of butter or chopped herbs.

Notes

For extra richness, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also roast the sweet potatoes for a deeper flavor before mashing.
