Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mashed sweet potato cooked and cooled
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix mashed sweet potato, applesauce, and egg until combined.
  • Gradually add flour and stir until a dough forms. You may need to use your hands to knead it together.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Place cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until firm and golden.
  • Let cool completely before serving to your dog. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

Always check with your vet before introducing new treats. For a crunchier texture, turn off the oven and leave cookies inside to cool slowly.
