This Ground Beef and Rice Skillet is an easy, one-pan dinner that’s full of flavor and comes together in no time. Perfect for busy nights, it's loaded with savory ground beef, rice, and seasonings, making it a filling, family-friendly meal.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Drain excess fat from the beef, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add the rice, diced tomatoes (with juices), and beef broth. Stir to combine.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Cover and let it sit for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to add vegetables such as bell peppers or peas for extra flavor and nutrition. You can also use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
