Instructions
In a bowl, mix chicken with cornflour, flour, egg, soy sauce, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10–15 minutes.
Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Add minced garlic and sliced chili; sauté for 30 seconds.
Add onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes until slightly softened.
Add soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, sugar, and water. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes.
Toss in the fried chicken and coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes on high heat.
Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
Notes
Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing the chili sauce. For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
