This comforting Creamy Swiss Chicken Casserole features tender chicken breasts layered with creamy sauce, Swiss cheese, and a buttery stuffing topping — a perfect weeknight or holiday dish.
4boneless skinless chicken breastspounded to even thickness
8ozSwiss cheesesliced
1cancream of chicken soup10.5 oz can
1/2cupsour cream
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
Stuffing Topping
1boxdry stuffing mixsuch as Stove Top, 6 oz box
1/2cupunsalted buttermelted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Top each breast with Swiss cheese slices.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth, then spread evenly over the chicken and cheese.
Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix evenly over the top. Drizzle melted butter over the stuffing mix.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked and topping is golden brown.
