Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Place the cubed bread into the prepared baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
Stir the mashed bananas into the milk mixture until fully incorporated.
Pour the banana custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes, pressing down lightly to ensure all the bread is soaked.
Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Notes
For an extra indulgent version, add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the mixture before baking!
