Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cans baked beans 15 oz each, undrained
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar packed
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with diced onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked beef mixture, baked beans, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire, mustard, and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
  • Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole is great as a main dish or served as a hearty side. Add chopped jalapeños or shredded cheese for extra kick.
